It’s that time of year again for Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea. This year it’s going to be held at the Conference Room Foyer in the Social Sciences & Humanities Library on Level 1, Duhig Building from 10-11:30 am. So for a gold coin donation have for a cup of tea and a yummy side treat that also helps cancer research!
If you make a donation of $10 or more you’ll go into the prize draw for 5 nights on Heron Island in a Wistari Suite including full breakfast, return airfares and return transfers from Gladstone to Heron Island for 2 people valued at $5,038.00. You’ve got to be in it to win it.

9th June 2008 is the Queen’s Birthday Public Holiday.
In order to assist Law students with exams scheduled at 2.30 on 9th June, the Law Library will open 9am-2pm on this day.
Other libraries on the St Lucia campus will be open at other times of the day.

The University has changed the timetable for Thursday 24th April to a Friday timetable, however, the LAWS1111 Library classes will still be running on a Thursday timetable. So if you have a clash between your Thursday Legal Method class and a Friday class you can attend at an alternative time:
Monday 21st April 3pm,
Tuesday 22nd April 4pm,
Wednesday 23rd April 10am, 11am, 2pm, 3pm
Thursday 24th April 11am, 1pm, 2pm, 3pm or 5pm.
There is no need to book and all sessions run in eZone 1.
If you cannot make any of these times please contact Julie Oates on j.oates@library.uq.edu.au.

We’ll be running an encore session for the Finding Journals articles class this Thursday 3rd April at 12pm in eZone 1. The session will again take about 45min so if you would like any help with finding legal journal articles please feel free to come along. You don’t have to book.
Don’t forget about the Finding Cases class on Tuesday 1st April also at 12 in eZone 1.

The Law Library will be running a couple of lunch time legal research classes. The first one will be on finding journal articles and will be held straight after Easter in eZone 1 on Tuesday 25th at 12pm. The second will be on finding case law and will be held a week later on Tuesday 1st April also in eZone 1 at 12pm. The sessions will run for approximately 45min so if you’d like to brush up on some skills in finding journal articles or case law do come along.

The returns chute just outside the Law Library has been upgraded.
Books returned there will automatically be removed from your library record. You can also get a receipt with a record of the items you’ve returned.
And it’s open all the time, so you don’t have to come in to the Library if you only want to return items.

There are now 13 lockable study desks located on Level 4 of the Law Library. These may be booked online via the Facilities Booking System.
