“The Specified Word library cannot be unloaded because it is in use”
Monday, May 19th, 2008As users upgrade to Word 2007, some are encountering the error message “The Specified Word library cannot be unloaded because it is in use.”
Fortunately this problem is easily fixed. In Word 2007, click on the Office icon and select “Word Options.”
Then click on “Add-ins” and change the “Manage” options to “Disabled Items.” Click Go.
Highlight any EndNote item(s) and click “Enable.” Then click OK.
