<description>Hopefully the usage statistics and feedback we receive from the trial study will agree with you which will then give us justification for changing more of our books from short loans to general loans.

<description>Well, I am sure it is informative, although to be honest I personally found the Harry Potter series slightly more gripping.
J.K. Rowling probably won't help you get through a University degree as much as Campbell though. :)

<description>Campbell's biology is a top read. No wonder it is the most popular.

					<description>Hi frank,
The definition of fun according to the The Concise Oxford English Dictionary is:
light-hearted pleasure or amusement.
So the only way to find out is to log on, ask a question, and see how light hearted and amusing the Librarian on the other end might be, you might be surprised!
PS No sorry, not for this. But you could win an Ipod Touch for completing the library survey running from the 1st to the 21st of September. Look for the link on our home page.

<description>Hi Kate. Thanks for your comment. Here is a response from the manager of the biol sciences library:

I'm sorry that you are missing access to a microwave oven in the BSL. And thank you for bringing the issue to our attention.

You are correct that there is no access to a microwave oven in this corner of the St Lucia campus. An approach to the University of Queensland Union at uqunion@uq.edu.au may be a useful option, as they run the refectories, including Darwin's.

On a related issue, the Library is soon to review its guidelines on eating and drinking in all UQ libraries. I will provide an update via the blog when there is more to report.

I would be happy to take further comments on this issue.
Regards,
Lucy Cartmel, Manager, Biological Sciences Library

<description>Is there anywhere in the BSL that is a &quot;silent&quot; study area? That is somewhere where one doesn't have to listen to others broadcasting to half the floor what they did on the weekend.
